Dacia adds new engine to line-up

Dacia has confirmed the addition of an engine that meets new EU guidelines.

Buyers of the Dacia Duster will be able to opt for a EU6-compliant 1.6 16V 115 petrol engine that aims to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.

According to Dacia, the new engine will cut CO2 emissions by up to 30g/km and motorists will also benefit from a road fund licence cut of £170 per year.

The new addition means Dacia Duster fans will be able to choose from a wide range of engines, with the Ambiance 4×2 and 4×4 versions been offered with petrol options.

Prices for the Ambiance 4×2 start at £10,495, and at £12,494 for the Ambiance 4×4, while the entry- level Access versions being and £9,495 and £11,495.

The Dacia range will also include a revamped 1.5-litre dCi 110 diesel offering a better mpg of 64.2 mpg.
