Hyundai set to reveal i30 Wagon

Next month’s Geneva International Motor Show is set to see a number of model debuts, including the latest offering from Hyundai.

The next generation i30 Wagon is based on the existing five-door version, but will offer a more elegant body style.

Thomas Burkle, chief designer at Hyundai Design Centre Europe, explained the car "speaks the language of the i30 family in terms of design and it carries the new Hyundai family identity – the Cascading Grille".

He added: "The tapering roofline and the dynamic proportions give the Wagon an almost coupe-like silhouette. The sleek and dynamic profile is further emphasised by a rich chrome frame surrounding the side windows."

Last year, Hyundai reported a 7.5 per cent increase in new car registrations across Europe compared to 2015. The automaker has also undergone a revamp of its model line-up to meet the needs of European based customers, as well as expanding production at its factories in the Czech Republic and Turkey.

The Geneva International Motor Show runs for ten days, starting on March 9th.
