John Cooper Mini planned

The redesign of the Mini Clubman has led to the creation of a special John Cooper Works model.

Mini took the step of revamping the Clubman the year and next year will see the introduction of the John Cooper Works vehicle.

It will feature a 2.0-litre inline-4 fitted engine and will be capable of delivering 228 bhp and 258lb of torque.

Buyers will get to pick from a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox and can expect speeds of 0 to 60 mph in six seconds.

Interior-wise, the compact hatch has a special John Cooper Works instrument panel and upgraded front seats.

The car will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show and is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.
