New Mini Clubman revealed

The latest version of the popular Mini Clubman will offer buyers more space as well as four full-size doors.

It is hoped the additional space will appeal to those looking for more room in the boot and offer extra headroom for those seated in the rear of the car.

Mini has opted to retain the classic split rear boot doors, which are a key feature of the Clubman and have proved popular with fans of the estate car.

Interior-wise, the car remains very similar to its predecessor, with a central unit containing either a 6.5 or 8.8-inch touch screen and the rest of the switches underneath the console. Sat-nav is also offered as standard on all Clubman models.

Buyers will be able to benefit from Mini's wide range of personalisation options, including the ability to choose the colour and trim of interior panels, as well as an ambient interior lighting feature.

In terms of engines, there will be two petrol engines and one diesel option available – with all three meeting the Euro 6 emission standards.

The six-speed manual gearbox is standard on all Clubman models, but six and eight-speed Steptronic automatics will also be available as an upgrade.

Prices start from £19,995 and the first cars should be delivered in autumn this year.
