New version of Vauxhall Insignia revealed

Next month’s Geneva Motor Show reveal the new estate version of the Vauxhall Insignia.

The car is set to go on sale in the summer, alongside the new Insignia Grand Sport hatchback.

Buyers will benefit from an increase in storage, with 110 litres of extra boot space, although the car is 200kg lighter than the previous model.

In addition to more space, the car also has a lower leading lip and a foot gesture opening option to make loading easier.

It is expected pricing for the new Vauxhall Sports Tourer will start at around £21,000 and engine options include an all-wheel drive powertrain with torque vectoring plus a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, as well as front-wheel drive powertrains and a six-speed manual gearbox is also available.

In terms of technology, the car also comes equipped with wireless phone charging, Vauxhall’s IntelliLink system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
