Nissan Qashqai scales new heights in Paris

People checking out new car deals are used to scouring websites, forecourts and magazines, but they will rarely look on top of buildings – however, the latest incarnation of the Nissan Qashqai has scaled new heights.

The all-new model took pride of place in a ground-breaking interactive rooftopping exhibition in Paris in an exciting new art movement.

Rooftopping is a trend that involves artists climbing to the summit of city skyscrapers and then using their lofty perch to capture the breathtaking photographs of the view below and between January 16th and 25th the Nissan exhibition was at the centre of this exciting world.

The show was staged on the roof of the iconic Publicis Drugstore overlooking the world-famous Champs-Elysees and featured the artists' work alongside the new Qashqai and the spectacular Paris skyline.

Guests could use tablets to a virtual trail, which mapped where all the different images had been taken.

Luis Miguel Rojo Y Pinto, marketing director at Nissan West Europe, said: "We hoped that bringing together this exciting and interactive style of photography would highlight the key qualities of the New Nissan Qashqai, but we didn't expect it to have such a big impact.

"We are glad to have been among the first to showcase this exciting new photography movement."

Nissan states the staging of the exhibition, which was the first of its kind in France, helped to push the boundaries of both technology and engineering – in much the same way as the new Qashqai has.

State-of-the-art lifting equipment was used to hoist the car well above the Champs-Elysees, while the very latest 4K ultra-high definition screens were used to showcase the rooftopping images in all their glorious detail. Furthermore, the exhibition building itself was fitted with an advanced geolocalisation system, which made the spectacular tablet computer tour possible.
