Nissan reveal strong European sales

Nissan has confirmed the last 12 months has seen a strong rise in sales for the automaker across Europe.

The share of the European market for the company is now at 3.9 per cent following positive levels of sales in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Sales were also boasted by the introduction of the new Micra in March 2016 as well as the ongoing sales of the X-Trail, Juke and Quashqai continue to perform well in the crossover sector.

Overall, sales of Nissan brand in Europe reached 735,725, while sales in Western Europe were 663,718 – an increase of 6.7 per cent on the previous 12 months.

There was also strong support for Nissan’s electric vehicle offerings with more than 23,000 units sold in Europe over the past year.

“Nissan stands apart from its class. We deliver quality, and we continue to reinvent and break boundaries with products such as the new Nissan Micra, which many customers are now enjoying. In 2017, we will continue to lead the way in important new technologies, with Nissan ProPILOT appearing on the new Qashqai later in the year."
