Revamp for VW Golf Cabriolet

The Mk6 Cabriolet is getting a little tweak to ensure it remains popular with VW Golf buyers.

VW will unveil the design changes at the Frankfurt Motor Show as well as offering buyers a number of new paint and wheel choices.

The Mk6 Golf Cabriolet will have upgraded front and rear bumpers and sportier side sills. Volkswagen have also added six new paint finishes, six new wheel designs and the option to have a red soft top.

Interior-wise, the car will have a new media infotainment system, as well as an updated steering wheel and seats.

Under the hood, buyers will be able to pick from the same four turbo petrol and two diesel engines but they have been slightly modified to meet EU6 rules.

Those opting for petrol engines will benefit from an additional fuel efficiency of 7.5 mpg, while the diesel engines will offer a further 2 mpg.

It is expected the updated Mk6 Cabriolet will be available to order from November and is expected cost slightly more than the current list price of £22,540.
