Suzuki launches new Celerio options

Suzuki's Celerio was launched in February in the UK and more than 2,000 cars have been sold over the past few months.

Now the car maker has launched two new derivatives to enhance the Celerio range.

Firstly, the new Dualjet model claims to be the most fuel efficient car on sale for less than £10,000.

With emissions of 84g/km CO2, the car is priced at £8,499 and comes with air conditioning, DAB digital radio, bluetooth and alloy wheels as standard.

Suzuki's new engine makes use of twin fuel injectors, which allow for a fine tuned fuel mixture which improves transfer to the engine.

The other new option is the Auto Gear Shift (AGS) which is available on the SZ4 model for an additional £800.

This advanced system makes use of an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator at the top of the transmission that operates the gearshift and clutch automatically.

Using AGS the driver can benefit from driving an automatic, especially in urban areas, but without any decrease in fuel efficiency or a rise in carbon emissions.

One of the key features of the AGS model is the low speed 'creep' capability which enables the vehicle to move in gear without the accelerator being pressed – perfect in slow moving traffic and when parked.
