Vauxhall announces SUV plans

Vauxhall has confirmed it plans to launch a number of new models including a top-end SUV.

The car maker is also set to reveal new compact and mid-sized crossovers before the end of 2020.

It is expected the two new crossover models will complement the new Astra and updated Insignia, as well as the Mokka.

Experts predict that the sale of SUVs and crossovers will continue to grow in the coming years as more people move away from the people-carrier option. Therefore, Vauxhall are hoping to increase their market share in the area.

Vauxhall are set to introduce a new luxury SUV that will be based on the existing Insignia’s Epsilon 2 platform, but is likely to offer a larger wheelbase, but a lower overall weight.
