Yaris Hybrid proves popular with new drivers

Many driving instructors are opting for the Yaris Hybrid and it is proving to be a popular model with those new to the road.

CA Cars, one of the UK's largest suppliers of driving school cars, has placed an order for more than 40 vehicles following strong demand for economical and eco-friendly cars.

Clara Gibson, CA Cars general manager, said: "As a business offering professional advice to potential and existing customers, we are pleased to use Toyota to support our growing operations.

"We are proud to specialise in hybrids and believe Yaris has the ideal characteristics for a reliable and economical driving school car. It’s prompted a great reaction from our customers, who appreciate the money they can save on fuel and running costs."

Dave Watson, managing director of No Gears Automatic Driving School, has had good feedback from those learning to drive, as well as believing using hybrid models helps promote a more positive image for the school and saves money.

"We changed to Yaris Hybrid because of the fantastic fuel economy. It has cut our instructors’ fuel bills by half, which is a huge saving given the amount of miles they do."

He added: "We have also had positive feedback from our pupils, who absolutely love them. Our instructors rate them as a great car for teaching in, as well. As a national automatic driving school we think Yaris Hybrid promotes our image as a progressive business."
