The American-based, all-electric car manufacturer has also only been operating since 2003 so to be beating the likes of German car brands that have been established for hundreds of years really shows how successful Elon Musk’s marketing strategy has been.

  2. The next most searched car brand of 2020 in the UK was BMW, with a search volume of 283,000 a month and making up 6.6% of total car brand searches.

  3. The third most searched car brand was Mercedes with 279,000 monthly searches which is 6.5% of total searches.

  4. Next was Audi at 233,000 searches per month, making up 5.4% of total car searches.

  5. The fifth most searched car brand of 2020 in the UK was Hyundai with 220,000 searches (5.1% of total searches)

Just missing out on the top five most searched car brands of 2020 in the UK were Vauxhall (201,000 searches), Toyota (193,000 searches), Ford (193,000 searches), Peugeot (171,000 searches) and Volkswagen (168,000 searches).

Even though Rolls Royce was the most popular car brand of 2020 in the UK, it didn’t actually make the top 10 most searched. However, its search volume was still pretty high with a total of 95,900 searches per month.
