Active Tourer gets makeover

The BMW 2 Sports Activity Tourer range has been given a makeover and updated with new safety features.

One of the biggest change is the addition of a new air intake and grille, as well as changes to the rear of the car to allow for larger exhausts.

Buyers will also now be able to select from a wider choice of body colours, as well as six different alloy wheel designs in 17, 18 and 19-inch sizes.

There has also be the addition of an updated plug-in hybrid for the Active Tourer to increase the range of the electric option by an additional three miles – making the new range 28 miles on one charge.

Inside the BMW, the Tourer benefits from three new upholstery choices, a new gear selector and two new touchscreen sizes.

The diesel engine options have also been upgraded to fit new emission-reducing initiatives.

The new versions of the Active and Grand Tourer will be on sale from March 2018 and pricing is expected to remain unchanged.
