Lister promises world’s fastest SUV with the £140k 670bhp LFP

Many extraordinary SUVs have emerged recently. In the past 12 months, we’ve witnessed the arrival of the Lamborghini Urus, Jaguar I-Pace and Bentley’s V12 Bentayga.

Each has promised blistering pace, but one newcomer is threatening to outperform them all and its name is the Lister LFP.

Heavily based on the Jaguar F-Pace – hence the name – the Lister LFP has cranked
up the heat to boost power output to around 670bhp.

This results in an estimated 0-60mph time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200mph.

That’s a sliver quicker than the Lamborghini Urus (3.6s) and almost a full second nippier than Bentley’s V12 Bentayga (4.4s).

It hasn’t been revealed what engine sits under the bonnet, but we do know that a series of carbon fibre modifications keeps the weight down and improves road holding.

Lister says there has been a great amount of customer interest in its “new monster killer SUV” and it is taking advance orders for the LFP already.

You’ll need some serious dough though because prices are estimated to start from around £140,000.

Earlier this year, Lister sparked an enormous amount of excitement when it revealed the LFT-666 supercar and Lister chief executive Lawrence Whittaker expects more the same when the LFP is revealed in full.

“Based on early indications, our new LFP promises to repeat the success of the LFT-666, and I really can’t wait to reveal the world’s fastest SUV quite soon,” he commented.

Since the start of the year, the Lister Motor Company has been busy developing its tuning division, which is responsible for this LFP and the LFT-666, as well as setting up its new headquarters in Lancashire.
