Mitsubishi Shogun Sport details revealed

Mitsubishi Motors has confirmed its latest Shogun Sport will go on sale this spring.

The seven-seater vehicle will be priced from £36,905 and will be offered with two trim levels – Shogun Sport 3 and Shogun Sport 4.

Both options will be fitted with an all-aluminium, 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine capable of producing 181hp and 430Nm of torque, as well as a newly-designed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

The upgraded all-wheel drive system will allow owners to easily switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive depending on the conditions.

Buyers will also benefit from a number of standard specs such as hill start assist, trailer start assist, hill descent control, power folding mirrors, LED headlamps, rear parking sensors and keyless entry. In addition, the generous bootspace of 1,488 litres available when the rear seat is folded will appeal to those looking for a practical drive.

Three metallic shades will be available – deep bronze, Atlantic grey and sterling silver – plus a pearlescent imperial red and solid polar white.

Mitsubishi has already released its Eclipse Cross this month as part of plans to increase its share of the UK SUV market.
