New Cherokee details revealed

Jeep’s latest Cherokee offering includes a new range of engines, as well as an overall updated look.

The updated SUV includes a new front grille, redesigned LED headlights and a hands-free power tailgate.

Other changes include the addition of new storage space in the boot, as well as more room for passengers.

Under the hood, Jeep has expanded the engine line-up to include a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, alongside a 3.2-litre V6 engine and a 2.4-litre straight-four unit.

There is also a 4×4 option, while the top-of-the-range models features Jeep Active Drive II to improve even further the car’s off-road capability.

Interior-wise, the new SUV has been revamped to include larger touchscreen options, as well as smartphone capability.

A number of safety features have also been added to the vehicle, including parallel and perpendicular park assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Jeep has not revealed the price options yet, but further details are expected towards the end of 2018.
