Skoda Fabia facelift: All you need to know

Skoda has revealed all on its newly refreshed Fabia supermini ahead of its September arrival.

The Czech car maker reckons the facelifted third-gen Fabia will cement its claim as the best value supermini on the market, with OTR prices starting from £12,840.

It’ll do this by offering a host of new safety systems, more generous spec lists and a sharp new look.

The engine range is now all petrol one-litre units, boasting power outputs of 74bhp, 93bhp and 108bhp – the latter of which can come as a seven-speed DSG automatic.

Trims and equipment

Equipment for the revised Fabia will be split over five trim levels – S, SE, SE L, Monte Carlo and Colour Edition – in the standard hatch and bulkier estate bodystyles.

Regardless of which model you go for, every Fabia now features LED daytime running lights as standard, as well as front assist and a multifunction trip computer.

Second-tier SE models (£14,115) gain front fog lights, 15-inch Cygnus alloy wheels, along with auto up/down electric windows. Colour Edition models (£14,665) get 16-inch Vigo alloy wheels in white, silver or black.

Range-topping SE L Fabias (£15,205) now feature the VW Group’s Amundsen sat-nav with
Infotainment Online for one year, 16-inch Evora alloy wheels and lighting in the front centre console.

Priced from £16,785, the sportier Monte Carlo Fabia includes climate control air-con, LED rear lights, rear electric windows and new seat upholstery, while a styling package adds a black front spoiler, black roof, black floor mats and carbon-effect dashboard trim.

Buyers can boost the safety of their Fabia by paying £390 to add blind spot detection and rear traffic alert. Other functions available include adaptive cruise control, rear view camera, driver fatigue assistant, and for the first time on the Fabia, full LED headlights.

The Fabia is Skoda’s second best-selling model in the UK after the Octavia and the third-generation supermini – launched in 2014 – has clocked up more than half a million sales worldwide, making it the brand’s most popular model in Europe.
