Top 4 Family Cars To Buy In 2020

If you’ve been using the same family car for a while, then the likelihood is that you have been thinking of upgrading as soon as possible. However, it can be hard to decide which of the myriad of family cars available would be the best for you and your family.

After all, there are so many different options available, especially when looking at brand new vehicles. So, in order to help you work out which family car is right for you in 2020, we’ve put together a list of our top 4 picks.

Toyota Corolla

The first on our list is the Toyota Corolla, revamped considerably from the 90s and early 2000s to become a delightful family car to drive around the streets. The hybrid family car does, admittedly, have limited rear legroom for taller passengers, but it provides a vehicle with very low fuel consumption.

That is key when you have a family to look after, as it means you can make all of your journeys without worrying about how much money you are going to have to spend on petrol. On top of that, the Corolla comes with a great selection of gear as standard.

Audi A3

Moving on from the Corolla, we’re taking an admittedly large jump up as we take a look at the Audi A3. It may very well be nearing the end of its lifespan but the Audi A3 still offers a great ride for any family. The interior build quality is of the highest standard, just as you would expect from the German manufacturer.

Whilst it is true that the Audi A3 is one of the more expensive cars on this list, it is generally better than most vehicles of the same level or higher. So it more than makes up for the increased initial price. On top of that, you can also look to get the Audi A3 on a car lease deal, making it considerably more affordable.

Skoda Octavia

Despite what we said about the A3 being better than most vehicles of a similar level, the Skoda Octavia does pull ahead of it because it offers a very comparable engine for a lower price range. This means that you can get yourself a family car with a good amount of power under the hood without breaking the bank.

On top of that, the Skoda Octavia actually offers more legroom in the back of the car and features a bigger boot space. So, when going on those long family road trips and holidays, the Octavia can be a great choice.

BMW 1 Series

The final entry on our list, the BMW 1 Series is a step back up towards the Audi A3 price range, but with good reason. Once again, the German engineering that goes into the manufacturing of the BMW 1 Series means that you will always be getting value for money.

The 1 Series handles like a dream, making every journey fun and exhilarating, but also safe for your family. The interior is sleek, subtle and understated, giving a sense of class, whilst also ensuring that everyone on board is comfortable. However, the boot is a little on the small side, so that’s important to be aware of.
