Vauxhall offers trade-in scheme to swap old for brand new

If you own an older Vauxhall and have been thinking that your car is looking a bit on the tired side lately, then how about swapping it for a brand new one?

It might sound like a daydream, but the auto maker is currently offering a new deal that could make it a reality – and for a lot less than you'd think.

As part of Trade Up, Vauxhall is inviting drivers of vehicles worth less than £1,000 to take advantage of a £4,000 scrappage allowance, or £3,000 extra part exchange value with 6.9 per cent APR representative.

They can then choose from a host of exciting new Vauxhall deals, including cars from the Astra, Mokka X, Crossland X and VIVA range.

Alternatively, if their car is worth more than £1,000 and not ready to join the scrapheap just yet, motorists can part-exchange it and receive a minimum of £3,000 plus the value of their current vehicle towards a new Vauxhall.

What's more, as part of this bonanza, the company is offering 20 per cent of all genuine and Vauxhall-approved accessories.

Retail sales director Stephanie Howson said the brand came up with the idea because they want more people to enjoy that 'just off the forecourt' feeling.

"People often assume they can't afford to buy a brand new car, but that's simply not the case. We would like to encourage anyone considering upgrading their vehicle to visit their nearest Vauxhall retailer and take advantage of this fantastic offer," she added.

To take advantage of this offer, you just need to visit the Vauxhall website, enter your vehicle's registration and get a Trade Up code. You can then look around for the new car deals you like and take the code to the retailer of your choice.

However, you'll have to be pretty quick, as Trade Up is only running until the end of June 2019.

Vauxhall advises buyers that terms, conditions and exclusions apply and that trade-ins must be registered in your name for at least 90 days.

It's also worth asking if you haven't got a vehicle to trade in, as other deposit contributions may be available.
