Kia deals remain popular with motorists

A growing number of drivers are looking for Kia deals all over Europe, an expert has noted.

According to Paul Newton, an automotive analyst at Global Insight, sales of Kia cars went up during the 12 months to January 2010.

This, he stated, was part of a trend which saw cars made by South Korean manufacturers proving very popular with European motorists.

However, Mr Newton said Kia emerged as the "biggest winner" in terms of its outright sales.

Speaking to BBC News, he commented: "The majority of [the South Korean] automakers posted improved sales in both the domestic and overseas market, with Kia almost doubling its overall sales."

The manufacturer has unveiled a number of new models in the last few days, which could prompt even more people to look for Kia deals.

Drivers were recently given a glimpse of the new Kia Sportage, which has been described as an urban-friendly compact SUV that offers low carbon emissions and good fuel economy.
