More drivers looking for Nissan deals

The number of people taking advantage of Nissan deals went up last month, new figures have revealed.

According to the car manufacturer, 35,502 units were sold across Europe in February 2010.

This is four per cent up on the amount recorded a year earlier and gives Nissan a market share it described as "healthy".

Demand for Nissan Qashqai deals was found to be especially strong last month, as year-on-year sales across Europe were up six per cent.

The Qashqai notched up more sales than any other Nissan model during February 2010, as 13,816 units were sold.

Bernard Loire, vice president of sales operations for Nissan in Europe, commented: "Customer demand for our core models continues to be strong.

"We have healthy order banks going into the important month of March."

This comes after the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reported a 26.4 per cent increase in the new car market during February 2010.
