{"id":1869,"date":"2013-03-08T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-08T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.c2b-blog.builtbybrave.com\/new-model-releases\/scottish-council-extends-volkswagen-crafter-fleet_801553625\/"},"modified":"2022-03-28T11:06:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T10:06:36","slug":"scottish-council-extends-volkswagen-crafter-fleet_801553625","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cars2buy.co.uk\/news\/new-model-releases\/scottish-council-extends-volkswagen-crafter-fleet_801553625\/","title":{"rendered":"Scottish council extends Volkswagen Crafter fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A council in Scotland has extended its van fleet with the addition of 30 Vauxhall Crafter models.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its vehicle replacement programme, Fife Council has brought in the extra vans after enjoying success with the motors in the past.<\/p>\n<p>Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles said it is delighted to supply the local authority with the vans, which it claims are notable for their loadspace, towing ability and passenger capacity.<\/p>\n<p>These models will be used by the council&#39;s Parks and Countryside department, making up part of the department&#39;s ground maintenance fleet.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest model in the manufacturer&#39;s van range, the Crafter boasts load volumes from 7.5 metres cubed to 17 metres cubed, with its payloads ranging from 1,544 kg to 2,693 kg &#8211; meaning the model could be ideal for those looking at the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cars2buy.co.uk\/new-cars\/volkswagen\/\">Volkswagen deals<\/a> in order to help with their work needs.<\/p>\n<p>BlueMotion and BlueMotion Technology engines are to be found in the vans, which help to deliver combined fuel consumption of up to 39.8 miles per gallon, in addition to a potential range of more than 650 miles.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Salmond, fleet officer at Fife Council, said: &quot;The capacity and reliability of the vehicles was instrumental in the procurement process.
