Vauxhall revealed the new Viva mode at the recent Geneva Motor Show and from next month it will be on sale in UK showrooms.<\/p>\n
The affordable car will start at £7,995 and has room for five passengers, as well as offering good fuel economy,<\/p>\n
Vauxhall claim the new 1.0 litre three-cylinder ECOTEC engine is capable of 65.7 mpg combined with emissions of 99g\/km CO2<\/p>\n
Buyers will be able to pick from two trim levels – the SE and the SL – with the possibility of further options being introduced over the coming months.<\/p>\n
It is expected the Viva will complement Vauxhall’s range of small family cars, including the Adam and the Corsa, while offering customers an alternative to rival models such as the Hyundai i10, Volkswagen Up, Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1.<\/p>\n
"Short, crisp and full of character, Vauxhall’s new entry-level model is a proper small car and will hold great appeal in this rapidly growing sector,” said Tim Tozer, Vauxhall’s chairman and managing director.<\/p>\n
