British parents spend around nine weeks of their lives doing the school run, according to a new report from Skoda.<\/p>\n
More than a third also believe it is the most stressful part of their day, with 64 per cent blaming traffic for driving up their blood pressure.<\/p>\n
However, Skoda is using its new SVU, the Kodiaq, to highlight the most extreme school runs in the UK – with many of the difficult school runs taking place away from urban locations and in the rural areas of Scotland and Wales.<\/p>\n
Skoda believe the Joneses, a family living in Pontrhydfendigaid, Ceredigion in Wales, may have the most challenging school run.<\/p>\n
Father William Jones takes a chainsaw with him so he can cut down fallen trees that are blocking the road, while flooding and snow is a regular occurrence.<\/p>\n
However, Skoda proved the family with a Kodiaq to see how it tackled the stressful journey to school and back.<\/p>\n
Mum Sarah Jones explained: “We were hugely impressed with the Kodiaq and our journey to school was the smoothest we’ve ever experienced. It tackled flooded areas and hills with ease and we enjoyed the headroom and nice little extras such as the heated seats.<\/p>\n
“The seven seats would definitely come in handy for collecting our children’s school mates and when they’re not being used, we can pop our dogs in the back.”<\/p>\n
Prices for the new SVU start at £21,995 and the car is available to order now for delivery in 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
