Nissan’s new Leaf has been launched and is set to make use of new technology to deliver even better performance.<\/p>\n
The Leaf is the bestselling electric car in the UK and makes up more than 40 per cent of EV sales over the past 12 months.<\/p>\n
Tenerife was picked as the launch venue for the second-generation Leaf and it is expected to go on general sale next month.<\/p>\n
A number of upgrades have been made to the Leaf alongside a reduction in price and a styling makeover.<\/p>\n
The entry-level Visia model is £1,500 cheaper than the first-generation model at £21,990, while the top of the range Tekna starts at £27,490.<\/p>\n
The Visia has cruise control, LED rear lights, daytime running lights and a seven-inch infotainment screen as standard.<\/p>\n
A step up is the Acenta, which offers a leather steering wheel, cruise control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Buyers opting for the N-Connecta will be able to benefit from 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and part-leather upholstery.<\/p>\n
Top of the range is the Tekna, which offers heated leather seats, full LED headlights and a seven-speaker Bose audio system.<\/p>\n
Nissan has already taken 12,000 orders for the new Leaf – with more than half coming from previous owners of the first-generation Leaf.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
