The debut of the new 60-registration plate has further boosted Nissan<\/a> sales, making Nissan the fourth largest brand in the UK in September.<\/p>\n

Drivers looking for Qashqai deals<\/a> will be interested to hear that demand for the innovative model has been the key to the manufacturer's success, with 5,641 units for the month.<\/p>\n

The Qashqai is now the fourth best-selling vehicle in the C-segment ahead of the Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series and is the nation's tenth top-seller overall in 2010.<\/p>\n

Sales of the Nissan Micra<\/a> remain strong with 4,902 units sold during September, an increase of 6 per cent on the same period last year, despite the government ending the car scrappage scheme.<\/p>\n

Nissan's UK managing director, Paul Wilcox, commented: "The fact that Qashqai continues to be a spectacular performer is no surprise, customers love its practicality and dynamic driving experience."<\/p>\n

The car manufacturer, which recently unveiled its new Townpod at the Paris Motor Show, is now the seventh most popular car brand in the world overall.<\/p>\n
