Ford's brand new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX models have been awarded five star safety ratings by Euro NCAP, the independent safety organisation.
Motorists looking for new Ford deals may wish to check out the pair of multi-activity vehicles after they achieved the highest score ever recorded for whiplash protection.
Both vehicles also excelled in adult occupant and child occupant safety categories.
Gunnar Herrmann, Ford's global medium car vehicle line director, said: "Crash test ratings are an important factor when designing and engineering our vehicles.
"We're delighted that Euro NCAP has recognised that both the new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX models offer excellent protection in the event of a collision."
The C-MAX and Grand C-MAX both feature Ford's Intelligent Protection System (IPS) which combines a high-strength body structure with state-of-the-art restraint systems.
Ford's IPS is fitted with individual, single-stage front airbags and 3D side thorax airbags for the driver and front seat passenger, plus side curtain airbags for the first and second row of seats.
The brand new Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX hit the UK market earlier this month.
