New Mazda 2 models for 2011

The popular Mazda 2 is set for an upgrade in 2011, with the vehicle hitting the market in Sport and Touring trim levels.

Both new models will come with a 1.5 litre DOHC 16-valive inline-4 and a five-speed manual, or four-speed automatic transmission.

The Sport will features 15-inch steel wheels with covers, while the Touring model will showcase 15-inch alloys.

In addition, the latter model will show off new fog lights, a rear roof spoiler, chrome exhaust tips, a stylish leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, upgraded cloth interior, and a trip computer.

The original Mazda 2 was designed for improved environmental performance, and the manufacturers described the vehicle as offering superb ride comfort and smoothness.

Furthermore, the car was awarded the highest rating for adult safety, plus a class-leading four Stars for child protection from the EuroNCAP ADAC-administered crash testing.
