The Citroen DS3 has picked up the Fifth Gear Small Car of the Year award just days after picking up a similar award from Top Gear Magazine.
Fifth Gear's judges were impressed by the car's sharp exterior, beautifully-styled interior and its range of powerful yet efficient engines.
Marc Raven, Citroen UK's communications director, said: "DS3 has had an outstanding year, and the recent flurry of honours are proving it.
"DS3 introduces a fresh and distinctive style to the class with its attention-grabbing personality. Embodying the best of Citroen's 'Creative Technologie' with sophistication and comfort, it's redefining the supermini market."
Motorists looking for Citroen deals will be interested to hear that the carmaker is already planning some new versions in the New Year, with a special edition racing model expected to join the range in 2011.
Citroen is also designing and building a DS3 capable of competing in the World Rally Championship, which will be powered by a 300hp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine.
Linda Jackson, Citroen UK's managing director, recently said that in just under 12 months since its release the DS3 has become the "must-have" model in its class.
