Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles obtain record market share

People looking for Vauxhall deals will be interested to hear that the manufacturer's Commercial Vehicle range has secured its largest ever market share.

Driven by strong January sales, up 57 per cent on 2010 figures, Vauxhall's Commercial Vehicles secured 18.85 per cent of the market share in the UK, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The figures also revealed that total Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles sales in 2010 were up by 44 per cent with the Combo topping the total and fleet van segments and the Vivaro leading the medium van segment.

Richard Collier, Vauxhall's national Commercial Vehicle sales manager, said: "We are delighted that Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles achieved the best retail share on record, proving that even in a challenging market there is always demand for good quality vans, with low running costs and excellent manufacturer support."

January's bumper sales news comes just days after Vauxhall announced that it will be the first manufacturer to offer an 'eco' model across their whole van range.
