New Mazda MX-5 Kendo to go on sale in March

Motorists looking for Mazda deals will only have to wait until March 1st to get their hands on the brand new limited edition Mazda MX-5 Kendo.

The limited edition has been created to celebrate the MX-5 passing the 900,000 units sold globally milestone.

Mazda's Kendo special edition is named after "The way of the sword" – a Japanese martial art renowned for its fighting spirit, refinement and eye-catching dynamic movement.

The Kendo will be available in two versions – the 1.8i soft-top and the more powerful 2.0i roadster coupe.

Mark Cameron, sales director, Mazda UK, said: "Special Edition models of Mazda MX-5 have always been eagerly received by UK consumers and I’m sure the two new Kendo models will trigger a strong wave of fresh interest in our long-running star performer."

In the UK alone the Mazda MX-5 has sold over 100,000 units since its introduction 20 years ago, accounting for over ten per cent of global sales.
