Corsa VXR Nurburgring images published

Motorists looking for new Vauxhall deals may be interested to hear that the first images of the new Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring have been released.

The car is expected to hit the UK market in late May and Vauxhall believes it will raise the bar in the hot-hatch class for performance and dynamics.

Vauxhall's new Corsa is powered by a re-worked version of the existing 1.6-litre turbocharged engine which now produces 205PS and delivers a 0-60mph time of just 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 143mph.

A mechanical, multi-plate limited-slip differential has been fitted to the VXR Nurburgring to ensure that the new power doesn't go up in a cloud of tyre smoke.

New Brembo brakes have been fitted to the new model, which are 30 per cent lighter than before, and have high-performance brake linings covering a 10 per cent larger area.

The new model has also been fitted with a raft of visual features including a stainless steel dual exhaust, and Nürburgring logos on the B-Pillars and front spoiler lip.
