Currys PC World opts for Fiat van fleet

Currys PC World has boosted its van fleet by taking delivery of 50 Fiat Doblo Cargo Maxi vehicles.

As a result of the Fiat deal – which was worth around £600,000 – the motors will be used for home service visits, with their sizable payload and volume enabling workers to easily transport heavy items such as fridge freezers and washing machines.

The vans include ABS anti-lock brakes, power steering, central locking and electric windows, while extras such as electric door mirrors, headlamp washers and air conditioning are optional.

Martin James, managing director of VMS Fleet Management – the company supplying and managing the vans – noted: "The Doblo Cargo Maxi was chosen for its excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions, as well as the 1,000 kg payload."

Sebastiano Fedrigo, director of Fiat Professional, noted the model is the ideal van for work of this type, due to its size, versatility and value for money.
