The new Ford Mondeo will boast a raft of innovative technologies, it has been revealed.
Ford Motor Company announced the vehicle will be equipped for European customers with features such as Advanced Active Park Assist.
This system is the carmaker's first to support perpendicular parking and interested parties will be able to get their first look at the model when it is given its global public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Those looking at the latest Ford deals may be interested in the car's new integral link rear suspension configuration, which has been developed to offer greater dynamism and refinement.
In addition, the Mondeo is the first motor to be produced via Ford's global CD-segment platform.
The car was first unveiled at the brand's Go Further event in Amsterdam this month, but it will be on show for the public in Paris, with the motoring event running from September 29th to October 14th.
In addition to the Advanced Active Park Assist function, the Mondeo will also include a new chassis with fully advanced suspension arrangement, while Electronic Power Assisted Steering should boost driving dynamics and handling.
The updated chassis aims to provide greater comfort and reduced noise, with backseat passengers in particular benefitting from the new integral link suspension configuration.
Those looking at the best Ford deals can get hold of the Mondeo in five-door, wagon and four-door variants, with the latter offered as a segment-first petrol hybrid electric model.
Barb Samardzich, vice-president of product development at Ford, noted: "These features underline the sophisticated quality, technology and driving experience that all-new Mondeo delivers.
"The Mondeo has always been at the forefront of Ford's European passenger car range, but the all-new model is a watershed moment for large car customers and a new benchmark for features in this competitive sector."
Passengers in the rear of the car will also be able to use Ford's first inflatable seatbelts, which aim to limit neck, head and chest injuries in the event of a crash.
