Improved resale values for Ford’s Transit Custom

The Ford Transit Custom has been awarded a favourable resale value by residual value analysts CAP.

According to the assessment, the van has enjoyed a three-year/60,000-mile residual value that is 10.5 per cent better than its predecessor.

Those looking for the best Ford deals may therefore be drawn to a motor that retains its standing over time.

It was demonstrated that after four years of use and 80,000 miles, the model's value rose by £1,500 and Mark Ovenden, managing director at Ford of Britain, explained the CAP endorsement should further enhance its position as a market leader.

Mr Ovenden stated: "This is a more stylish and more functional Transit, which also manages to reward owners by retaining more of its value."

It was calculated that a new Ford Transit Custom 290S 100PS six-speed 310Nm model is likely to be worth £6,800 and £5,250 after three and five years respectively – representing a lead of £725 and £500 on the van's nearest rivals.
