The Citroen Berlingo Airdream e-HDi is to benefit from improved fuel economy thanks to the manufacturer's continuous product development.
Models built from November onwards are to see their CO2 emissions fall as low as 118 g/km, while their combined cycle fuel economy will rise up to 62.8 mpg.
The Airdream e-HDi micro-hybrids are already the most efficient Berlingo models available – and these new developments could lead to even more people searching for the best Citroen deals on the market.
Scott Michael, head of the carmaker's commercial vehicles and business centre programme, noted the vans have enjoyed positive scores for fuel efficiency and Co2 emissions for some time.
Mr Michael observed that following the latest improvements, "these vans now go to the top of their class thanks to fuel economy gains of up to 4.5 per cent and CO2 emissions reductions of up to 5 g/km".
Citroen revealed November will also see extra equipment introduced for the Berlingo Platform Cab model, including a Plus Pack that includes heated door mirrors.
