Citroen has revealed it is releasing special editions of its DS3 Red to mark the start of the new year.
The manufacturer unveiled its new DS3 DStyle Red and DSport Red models, which boast additional cues and equipment on top of the existing DStyle and DSport trim levels.
Available now, the release of the cars could lead to an increasing number of motorists turning their attention to the latest Citroen deals in the weeks and months ahead.
Priced from £15,655, the vehicles can be purchased in two colours – Polar White or Perla Nera Black – with the exclusive Red Touch interior and exterior packs included for both hues.
The cars boast a Sport Red finish on the front grille and chevrons, while the inside of the cars include a red customisation that sees the dashboard match in colour to the door handle surrounds.
Depending on which shade the customer opts for, the DStyle Red models will come with white or black 16-inch Ashera alloy wheels.
Similarly, the DSport Red editions will include white or black 17-inch Bellone alloys, while all wheels are to feature Sport Red centre caps.
Buyers opting for the DS3 DStyle Red car will have the choice of either a VTi 120 petrol engine or an e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel engine – from which just 98 g/km of CO2 is produced.
The DS3 DSport Red, on the other hand, uses either a THP 155 petrol engine with a six-speed manual gearbox or an e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel engine.
For the latter choice, the engine uses a six-speed manual transmission, which produces 99 g/km of CO2 emissions.
Those who snap up the DS3 DStyle Red can expect to also make use of Citroen's Connect Signature pack, which has USB connectivity and Bluetooth capabilities, while superior sound quality is promised through an improved Hi-Fi system with additional speakers.
The releases come after Citroen recently revealed that its 200,000th DS3 car had been made at its Poissy production plant in France.
