The winner of a Kia cee'd in a national competition was left speechless after learning of his success.
Garreth Hardstaff admitted he could not believe his luck when he heard keys to the vehicle would be handed over to him free of charge, revealing he was eager to enter the prize draw after seeing the motor while out shopping.
The 19-year-old was picked at random from a pool of around 8,000 entrants – and said the win has set him up nicely for the future.
Mr Hardstaff admitted he is still finding it hard to believe he has been so lucky, adding he would like to thank Kia for giving him the opportunity to drive away in such a fantastic car.
He stated: "After seeing the car out shopping, I entered the competition as everything about the cee'd appealed to me – what did I have to lose? When I got the phone call, I was speechless."
The win was announced by Kia Motors and Draycotts, a dealership in Sutton in Ashfield.

As part of the competition, the new Kia cee'd five-door hatchback and the cee'd Sportswagon were taken to numerous shopping centres throughout the UK, including those in Bluewater, Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Glasgow, Milton Keynes and Southampton.
Those wanting to take part in the draw were asked to choose the feature of the cee'd and cee'd Sportswagon that they liked the most, with options including Hill-start Assist Control, Intelligent Stop & Go and the new audio system.
Wayne Draycott, dealer principal at Draycott Motors in Sutton in Ashfield, said: "We are delighted that someone from our local area has won the competition. Handing the car over to Garreth and seeing how much he values the prize is a great feeling."
