The Everton and England footballer has taken delivery of a brand new Ampera Electron in Power Blue and said he is delighted to be getting behind the wheel of a vehicle equipped with lots by way of entertainment technology.
This model boasts voice-activated sat nav with street level mapping for 20 European countries and an audio and video DVD player.
In addition, the car includes a hard drive device with 30 GB music file capacity and a Bose Energy Efficient Series sound system.
The defender said: "I am very grateful for all of the help Vauxhall have given me in making this revolutionary vehicle available."
