The latest upmarket Hyundai model is set to go on sale in the UK in April.
It is expected the Genesis could become a major player in the executive car sector and rival models such as the BMW 5 series and the Jaguar XE.
Hyundai's latest offering will start at £47,995 and will be available in a limited number of showrooms across the UK in seven colour choices.
The base model will offer a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will be capable of 0-62 mph in 6.8 seconds and offer 24.4 mpg.
Cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system will be fitted as standard. Other options include a special CO2 cabin sensor that detects a lack of oxygen in the driver's area.
Owners will also be able to benefit from four cameras around the cabin giving a 360-degree view of the car. These are connected to the standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Protection systems.
Hyundai is keen to break into the upmarket sector and has planned a number of new models in 2015. Buyers will be able to choose from the i20 Coupe and i30 Turbo, as well as a number of updated versions of its current range.
Overall, the car maker is aiming to increase sales for the year by around 20 per cent.
Last month, the company revealed a £48 billion investment in new manufacturing and design facilities in a number of international locations.
