New Skoda Superb coming this September

Review of the new 2022 Skoda Superb Estate

The latest Skoda Superb estate is set to go on sale in September, with orders being taken from next month.

The first details of the car were release at the recent 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and it is expected to prove popular with those looking for an estate version of the existing hatchback.

Skoda are predicting that sales of the larger model will overtake those of its counterpart, with many buyers tempted by its additional space.

An estate will increase boot capacity by 27 litres to 660 litres in total. In addition, when the rear seats are folded down the overall load capacity is an attractive 1,950 litres.

There will be a number of engine options for the new Skoda, including a 1.4-litre petrol with 148bhp, an 118bhp 1.6-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre diesel with 148bhp or 187bhp.

Buyers could also opt for the 2.0-litre petrol version which offers up to 276bhp, while the 2.0-litre diesel offers the additional option of four-wheel drive.

Skoda has yet to confirm the official price of the vehicle, but it is expected to be around £1,000 more that the existing Skoda Superb, which starts at £18,640 for the base model.
