Korean automaker SsangYong has revealed its latest version of the Rexton SUV.
For 2016, the company has updated the popular car with a 2.2 litre diesel Euro 6 engine, as well as offering the choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a Mercedes-Benz seven-speed automatic box.
SsangYong believe the newly-developed e-XBi220 diesel engine will reduce carbon emissions but still offer strong performance.
"This is a significant step up for the Rexton," explained Paul Williams, chief executive officer of SsangYong Motor UK.
"The power upgrade and new seven-speed automatic bring greater refinement, while the car continues to deliver unrivaled levels of equipment for the price,"
Buyers can choose between five or seven seats and the top of the range ELX offers a leather interior, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, as well as heated rear seats.
The cost of the new Rexton starts at £22,995 and may appeal to those looking for a rugged SUV look without the expensive price tag.
