Volvo has announced the pricing and specification of the new S90 and V90 models.
Available to order now, the S90 saloon will retail from £32,555, while the V90 estate will have a £34,555 price tag for the base model.
Both of the new models will be built using Volvo’s latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform and will make use of the Drive-E powertrains.
Buyers will be able to pick from two diesel engines – the efficient D4 and the more powerful D5 PowerPulse, with the latter capable of delivering around 235 hp.
The front-wheel-drive option will offer 190 hp, with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a combined fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg and CO2 emissions of just 116 g/km.
Interior-wise, both the S90 and V90 offer leather upholstery, heated front seats, keyless ignition and climate control.
The entry models also include Volvo’s Sensus infotainment system as standard, which features a nine-inch touch screen, voice-control, sat-nav and various cloud apps.
One of the most high-tech additions to the new Volvo line-up is the use of Pilot Assist – a semi-autonomous drive feature which automatically keeps the car at a set speed or distance from the vehicle ahead.
