Tesla update Model S range

Tesla Motors has confirmed the launch of a revamped Model S range that will go on sale in the UK before the end of the year.

The new model will feature an improved cabin as well as a redesigned front end – making it more in line with the company’s Model X and up-and-coming Model 3 saloon.

Buyers will be able to pick from two different interior wood finishes – Figured Ash Wood and Dark Ash Wood.

One of the other key improvements is the updated standard charger which as increased capacity from 40 amps to 48 amps and means drivers will benefit from a quicker charging time.

The top of the range Model S – the P90D – is capable of zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds – using a combined 751 bhp using dual electric motors.

Available before the end of the year, the updated Tesla Model S range with a starting price of £53,800.
