Jeep has reported its best market share figure in almost two decades.
The latest SMMT (Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders) figures show Jeep’s current market share stands at 0.69 per cent – the best percentage since 1997.
Overall, the company saw 1,303 Jeeps registered last month, compared to 605 units at the same point in 2015.
Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK said: "2016 is a very special year for Jeep, not only are we celebrating our 75th anniversary, but we are also celebrating some truly fantastic sales milestones for the brand.”
He added: "Last month we saw the best ever March result for Jeep and this month we’re seeing Jeep’s popularity continue to grow with even more positive results."
The SSMT figures also revealed Jeep is now the leading manufacturer in the UK in terms of growth with a 115 per cent rise over the past 12 months.
