It has been confirmed the Saab name will not appear on any future cars.
Instead, the logo will be replaced by NEVS (National Electric Vehicle Sweden) who purchased the Saab factory a number of years ago.
The Chinese-owned NEVS employs a number of ex-Saab workers and focuses on electric-powered cars and it is likely that any future NEVS-branded models will be powered by the alternative fuel systems.
"From today onwards, we are NEVS – both on a company and product level. With that comes a new logo, a new look and a reinstated commitment to, and focus on, electric vehicles and mobility solutions,” explained the company’s official statement.
It is expected the first NEVS car could be on the market by 2018.
