Volkswagen's new electric version of the popular UP! is now available to order.
The zero emission compact car is aimed at those looking for an eco-friendly urban option and prices for the e-up! start at £20,780.
Equipped with an 82 PS electric motor, the car takes 12.4 seconds to cover zero to 62 mph and has a top speed of 80 mph, with a range of 94 miles between recharges.
Charging of the battery takes nine hours to achieve a full charge, but there is also the option of a 30-minute quick charge to get the battery up to around 80 per cent.
The car also comes with a range of extras such as parking sensors, cruise control and a sensor that automatically turns on the headlights as dusk approaches.
Inside the up!, drivers can benefit from a smartphone docking system that allows a phone to be the hub of the car's infortainment system.
The smartphone can also be used to display key data from the e-up!’s systems and tips from the Volkswagen Think Blue Trainer – which offers tips on efficient driving.
