New Mini Countryman unveiled

The new Mini Countryman has been revealed, giving buyers more choice of engine, including a plug-in hybrid option.

Mini’s second-generation model will be the largest modern Mini and will be available in the UK at the start of next year.

Overall, the new Countryman will be 30mm wider and 200mm longer than before – a similar size to the Audi Q2 and Q3.

The additional space means increased legroom as well as extra boot room – about 100 litres more than in previous models.

Exterior-wise, designers have kept the large LED headlights and pop-out tail-lamps, although the rear number plate has been moved in a similar style to the rest of the new look Mini range.

Prices will start from £22,465 for the base model and increase to £28,430 for the top of the range specs.
