The new Shogun Sport from Mitsubishi is set to be released next year in the UK.
Details of pricing and specifications will be revealed closer to launch and will follow the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross which will go on sale in January.
It is expected the seven-seat Mitsubishi Shogun Sport will have an advanced drivetrain to ensure strong off-road performance.
Other features will include Hill Descent Control, Trailer Start Assist (TSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and a dedicated off-road mode.
Engine options will include a 2.4-litre diesel engine capable of producing 180hp and a maximum torque of 430Nm.
The Sport could also be a good choice for those looking for significant boot space, with a capacity of 1,488 litres when the rear seats are folded down.
