New details of the forthcoming Renault Zoe have been revealed as the popular gets an update.
The electric vehicle will cost from £18,420 for the base model trim level –
the Dynamique Nav with a R110 motor. This price does not include the monthly rental charge for the battery, although there is the option to purchase a model with the battery included for £24,020.
Buyers of the 80 kWh R110 motor can enjoy an additional 16 bhp, but the same range of 186 miles. However, the new Zoe is capable of 0 to 60 mph in 11.7 seconds, with a top speed of 84 mph.
Charging times have also improved, with the R110 taking one hour and 40 minutes to reach 80 per cent capacity.
Two trims are on offer – the Dynamique Nav and Signature Nav – both have automatic lights and wipers as standard, as well as climate control and cruise control.
Leather upholstery, heated front seats and a rear parking camera are all limited to the Signature Nav trim.
Orders are open now for the Zoe, with deliveries expected to begin in summer.
